I have reached the age where hair shows up in strange places like my ear lobes. And my eyebrows were perfectly well behaved for 50 years or so but now grow at an atomic rate. I have a little battery powered trimmer for the removal of hair in delicate areas. Last week I used this trimmer to tame my eyebrows. I thought I did a perfectly servicable job.

That evening we were enjoying a dinner hot of the gas grill. I had grilled steaks and potatoes for a simple but classic meal. Half way through dinner my daughter looked at me and asked if the grill had given me problems. I said "No. Why do you ask?" She replied "You singed off your eyebrows" with grave concern for my safety.

Guess I have to practice the eyebrow trimming some more Smile

I feel your pain Phil. I asked my barber to trim my eyebrows 15 years ago. She said "Are you sure? Once we do this they'll start growing faster." Man, was she right. What she failed to mention was that trimming the eyebrows would make the hair in your ears grow faster too.

Thanks for posting this stuff. Now I'll be sure to trim myself more often in these areas.

Very funny story!

My barber started asking if I wanted an eyebrow trim along with my hair cut about 5-6 years ago.

My wife refers to them as "wispy" when they get a bit unruly so I also do use an electric trimmer to clean them up on occasion [the trimmer was a gift from her too come to think of it].

I recently gave in and bought a trimmer for eyebrows, nose and ears. I had a hard time admitting that I needed it, but now that I have it I'm quite glad I did.

My barber surprised me one day and trimmed some hair or something in my left ear. I didn't know how to react to that...
