It’s literally the same thing just on a larger scale. Let me ask you this… how many wolfmans or BEs have you seen go for MSRP here? And then ask yourself.. why aren’t people getting made about that? What difference does it make it was purchased here at DFS. It’s silly.
I think it makes a difference, you don't, really nothing more to say .

I understand. I think we should all go to our local retailers like wal-mart and demand that they sell their goods for the price they paid for them, because profits are bad.

I'm going to list my dollar store razor for $1000, and see if there are any takers!

My point exactly! That’s the beauty of a free market, you can list it for that price… but it would never sell unless it’s worth that to someone. Economics 101.

Some would like BST among a small community to be no different than eBay, that's fine, I'm not one of them. This ain't Walmart.

jmudrick is absolutely right.  Many of us would rather treat this hobby as a community instead of a business.  Friendship and respect will always carry a much higher value.

I get that, and respect it. But this begs the question…. How is selling an item for the value that you place on it…. disrespectful or unfriendly?

If you feed a stray dog, they just return to the same spot daily. Eventually they take a dump there and will bite you too

I think it’s both disrespectful and honestly shameful when you buy something with the intent by flip. Even worse when you do it in the same community you purchased it from. In this case it really shows that the individual is only here to make a buck.

I honestly find this all so interesting. I can’t even begin to understand this train of thought.

If you simply want to maximize profit why even bother to sell on DFS where a tiny fraction of potential buyers will see a listing? Go straight to eBay.

Justin,

That’s my right!  It’s supply and demand.  Blame it on basic business principles.  Loot may be a great guy for selling a rare item for less and that’s surely his prerogative!  I should be scorned because I made more money?  That’s absurd!  And that doesn’t make me a bad guy either.  If he’s angry with me then he’s angry with himself too.  Again,  why aren’t you upset with others marking up Wolfman Razor?  I’ll wait for your prejudiced answer!

This is getting ridiculous!  It’s futile arguing about basic business ideology.

Jeff
