Sorry, can’t do that — the Blackbird is my favorite razor. Smile

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Thanks for the heads up! Unfortunately, my family and I are moving over the next month, so no funds for razors at this time. Although, it is very tempting...No, I better not or I will be living by myself! Big Grin

I received my Blackbird SB yesterday afternoon. I've been wanting to try this razor for some time but wasn't excited about spending the money. So, as a compromise to myself, I decided to sell off some of my current gear in order to pay for it. When they had their sale last week, I decided to go for it so I wouldn't have to sell off as much Smile

My shave this morning was amazing! I know it's only one shave but....wow! After reading this thread and Matsilainen 's review, I knew to keep the angle more parallel and the pressure light. After two passes, i was irritation free and sporting a DFS. But I had to go for the third, ATG, pass. What I found truly amazing was how smooth this razor was going ATG...especially the upper lip. When I was finished, I knew I had put a little too much pressure on the neck/chin and there was some irritation with the alum block but nothing too significant. There was only one spot that needed to be cleaned up and I really felt like I had gotten a BBS shave with only minor irritation.

As I was showing off my amazing shave to my wife, she was all smiles knowing how happy I was with the razor. Then her eyes cringed a bit and her reply was "does that hurt..you're bleeding?" Sure enough...this thing bit me under my chin Smile Oh well, I'm still all smiles with the shave/razor and can't wait for tomorrow morning!

Thank you Blackland Razors for making a great razor Happy2

Congrats HoosierShave . Did you go with brushed polished, machined or the black oxide?

Glad to hear it! Sounds like a pretty successful first outing. I'm sure you'll dial it in a bit more and wind up without any nicks. Smile
