Blackbird blade chatter

Myself I’m greek ( btw ,please do excuse me from doing any grammar or spelling mistakes or even wrong choice of words ,english is not my mother language) and having mediterranean genes (who knows from where else ,also) my stubble resembles much
to male velcro.During winter ,if the wind blows
my woollen scarf onto my face ,it just gets stuck there ,if I have more than 24h stubble)

While I could use my R41 to shave WTG & XTG ,going  ATG was much further than “out of the question” .
Simply impossible,no matter the
prep ,soap and blade.
Any other razor of such
head type ,did not offer “salvation”.
First shave with the Masamune  was an eye opener one .
Going ATG was smooth like ...buttah .
Skin stretching and such are basic parts
of my technique ,also .My grandfather was the
one who taught me to shave with a DE ,when I was a teenager.To exaggerate a bit ,
I think that my technique level allows me to shave blindfolded ,
standing on my one foot ,at a ship’s deck
during a hurricane !
But only with the right razor I’m able to
go against the grain.
Otherwise it is simply impossible !

Funny you mention blindfolded shaving. Did one myself on video awhile back in a stunt shave challenge. Not as hard as one may think after years and years of doing something

Shaving w/o a mirror ,more or less,
is like shaving blindfolded .

One of my grandfather’s first shaving lessons:
“Grandson, you have to learn to shave without
using a mirror.
When you ‘re finally able to shave without a mirror ,then you are pretty much ready to use one .”

Not so difficult as it may seem ,
even when starting to shave with a DE.
We’ve assigned much of our information 
intake to our eyes.There are four other 
senses that provide also tons of 
information .
We usually neglect them.
Most of the time at least.

We can interface with the surrounding
environment ,without using our vision.
Shaving ,actually is one of the easiest tasks .

Those with blade clamping and chatter concerns will have a new product to look forward to in the first few months of 2021.

Shane, can you share any general characteristics for this razor? Also, are you able to tell us how many new models are planned for 2021?

Well, it's a DE razor and it has edge-to-edge blade clamping, among other features. It will also be the least expensive and, arguably, the most versatile razor we've ever made. It's been a year in the making and will be something of a departure for Blackland.

It kind of depends on how you count, but we currently have three new razor models on the docket for 2021. Each is a completely new concept with at least one large innovation that will differentiate it from any other razor of its respective type.

Always possible that one or more of the above projects falls on its face and either doesn't make it to market at all or just sucks when it does, but that's the current status of razor development. We're also investing in a lot of things behind the scenes to improve the systems at Blackland, create a more cohesive brand identity, and position us for what will hopefully be another year of big growth. You'll begin seeing some of that over the next 2-4 months. I suspect some of that change won't be loved by all, but change never is.
