Let me make it crystal clear; well and truly hope AND expect that your razor is going to reappear at some point based on 1,5 years worth of high volume shipping (by small shipper standards). We regularly have had items disappear for multiple weeks, sometimes multiple months - but, so far, things have eventually reappeared.

In all cases, we had items fully insured and they still went missing. Have posted online a few times advising people to fully insure all items in this new pandemic shipping world. At a minimum, it forces shipping company accountability: which seems to motivate arriving at a final, if severely delayed, resolution.

Apologies for the appearance of victim blaming; it was not my intent. However, it is no more Tatara's fault than yours from my perspective - that I do stand pat on - it is the shipping company that has failed, presuming items packaged, labeled and declared properly.

I order from overseas often, mostly tea related items, and most arrive within the expected time frame. There have been a couple that were very, very late and they eventually showed up. I did contact a vendor once when I saw an outbound exception. It had to be reshipped with new label due to that country's customs rejecting it during peak 2020 covid. It would have been delivered regardless if I asked or not, but they did provide the new tracking number.

Most recently I had an inbound package stuck in NY, US customs forever! So long that I thought something was wrong. I submitted a lost package claim through USPS website and I am not even kidding - it was delivered in less than 24hours after that submission. Coincidence? Maybe. I have my doubts.

I follow procedure when it comes to returns.
I called Joao Gomes from Tatara and asked him for a return authorisation no.
He said there is none.
Then he proceeded to tell me exactly how to send the return, what to write, how
to declare it.
I did not oppose him as I did not want to take the risk of upsetting him and putting my return
in jeopardy. So I followed his instructions
Don't ask me what he told me to do, I won't reveal, as this matter is under investigation.
All I can say is that I have retained records of his instructions, and I have made sure these are seen
by the right people.

I find it strange that people are saying I want a refund before Tatara has received the goods.

I want others to know what can happen when you attempt a return with this company.
This has happened to others too in the past, but they have not been as vocal about it.

I thank Reddit for helping to spread awareness on this even further.
There were a couple of reasonable responses on there.
I've always considered Reddit a wasteland of intellectually
fragile soy boys and woke virtue signallers in man buns...and I still
maintain an account there to downvote and laugh at their dumb takes on life, covid,
vaccines and now...shaving.

I take umbrage, however, at being called Karen.

I'm Carmen, goddamit!

Look, Kehole...please don't project your situation onto mine when there's no comparison.

38 days in transit....against an estimated delivery time of 7-16 business days.
When would you grant permission, or deem it permissible to start to express
misgivings about this?

On another note, I thank all good natured and reasonable posters for expressing
confidence that the package, being registered, will show up sooner or later.
I hope you are all right.

Meanwhile, potential Tatara customers need to know what their odds are for completing
a successful return, specially when the amount at stake is not insignificant.

I closed this at OP’s request.

I thought OP had valid points and shared his experience in a mostly valid and respectful manner. There’s no issue with members posting replies on their own positive experiences, however, that shouldn’t reflect on the validity/veracity of OP’s experience. And there’s no place for name calling. Calling someone a Karen in today’s environment is offensive

UPDATE:

TLDR: Paypal ruled in my favour and I received notice of  my full refund today. However this may not have been possible
if I had not applied public pressure, and pursued this matter doggedly, with substantial investment of my time and resources.
