I am not a fan of sweet aftershave nor anything with burn. If I rode a horse driving cattle to Nebraska maybe I would belly up to clove and cinnamon. Even for Christmas I don’t like clove with cinnamon.
This thread is for bay rum lovers so either start your own bay rum haters thread or keep your negative opinions on bay rum to yourself. Seriously, it gets a little tiresome whenever someone posts how much they like or enjoy some product of other and someone just feels that they have to weigh in with how much they hate that particular product. Honestly, nobody cares.

Got bored one day and did a mix of Clubman Bay Rum with Cat o 9 tails and added a little bit of sandalwood to it. Turned out quite nice!
Just got a bottle of Georgian Bay Rum from Historic and Oak that I also really enjoy. Has a juniper note to it that's well blended and the overall scent has a nice longevity. They're working on matching soaps for the scents.
same here..I did 2 different batches with slightly different ratios of rum & 190% proof alcohol as well as slightly different ingredients in the 2 batches...I still have them both sitting in a jar in my basement. my biggest issue with them, I think, is they smell too boozy to me.

I got a little too impatient with mine and rushed it. Plan to try again. Gonna track down a few recipes and give them a go.
