Not at all, soap doesn't really go bad unless poorly maintained. Meaning left sitting in water or not allowed to properly dry.  That bar of soap is cured before sale. So there's no chance it's "bad".  That's not mold, it's just colors from other embed pieces. The soap's pH level should not allow for mold to grow, even without preservatives.

In short, the soap is perfectly fine. Embeds being made of the same thing, soap, does not have a higher chance of going bad. Otherwise we wouldn't do it. We just like to be creative an resourceful with what we do. As you can see, we package it twice (wrapped in biodegradable plastic wrap, then boxed) at different times so if ever there were an issue, we would see it during QC and packaging. Hope this provides some clarity, always happy to help!

Thanks for the explanation and my apologies for going off uncaffeinated this morning.  Ive been using PAA soap for years and I had never seen that.  I will continue to use it too - its one of the best body soaps out there and also very well priced.

Sorry for the confusion Marko!

Sorry, no pictures but for September I’m using my last bar of Chatillon Lux Yuzu Rose Patchouli soap. Such a great scent and a nice, rich soap base too. I don’t recall who actually made the soap base but there’s no mistaking the provenance of that YRP.  Happy2

About half way thru PdP Raspberry bar started 10 Aug.

PdP, as always, every bit the super creamy lather of MdC but at a third the price. While not a terrible scent, it less than hoped. Up next is Lime Zest

I believe it was MaxP that had posted this soap was similar to AOS Sandalwood.  Once I read that, I jumped on Smallflower.com and ordered a bar.  When it arrived, I wasn't picking up a similar AOS Sandalwood scent.  But when I lathered it for the first time yesterday, I could definitely see the comparison.  Will be interesting to see how long the bar lasts and how good it feels on skin

PdP Raspberry has been consigned to handsoap duty in the kitchen for its final days

The king is dead, long live the king

Now using PdP Lime Zest for daily shower duty.  Actually suits well, excepting the exfoliating particles which are redundant when employing a shower bat; not to worry as it helps maintain grip when lathering. The scent quite simply pleasant and perfectly mimicking lime zest.  Of course the quad milling yields the same world class lather even with our decidedly hard water. Lovely

Rich, natural scents that last right to the last scrap of soap; an impeccable, creamy lather that forms effortlessly; and a solid, triple-milled bar that lasts four weeks – all good reasons why Nesti Dante's soaps have become our favorite. Capri is an elegant citrus with just enough green to give it some ballast. It's cooling in the height of summer, and cheering in the dead of winter.

I've been trying a few of the soaps recommended by the connoisseurs here.  Tried two Stirlings but I found them drying; PdP was good but didn't impress me.  This suggestion from Bouki has impressed me. I like the feel of it and the scent is not cloying but pleasantly refreshing.  And it's one huge bar of soap so that I'll get my value out of it!  May try another one or two from this group but, right now, this is occupying the shower.
