I found they all kind of smelled of laundry soap to me, and each of them had a frag component that made my face burn a little.

I have a sample of Seville on the way to find out once and for all if Barbershop just isn't for me or not.

I think I've narrowed the burning sensation to white patchouli, and I've seen that Seville has patchouli, but I'm unclear if there is a difference.

I'll find out within a week I guess.

I doubt you'll have an issue with Seville as it's a far different (better) barbershop scent than the 3 you listed. It has a lemon-y component that sets it apart from the others. I also like the more powdery ones like Mystic Water and Stirling, but Seville is definitely my favorite in the category.

I'm looking forward to finding out. My experiences with those three had turned me off, but I really enjoy the way my barbershop growing up smelled. I thought the others just kind of smelled like laundry soap.

I'm also hoping Will was right about the irritant.
