to me I always felt balms/splashes went on easier when my skin was at least damp. of course I have no scientific basis for this, just my own personal opinion.

either way, Barrister_N_Mann new splash is awesome...it's one of the few splashes/balms that's kept my face supple throughout most of the day.

That could be weaponized! It already makes my eyes water like I've been tear gassed just from being on my face! And yes, I have been tear gassed

How much similarity, if any, between Adagio and Dickens, given the cherry and citrus combo? Just curious. (Aside from the menthol in Adagio, of course.)

Hi. I had only used a sample of Dickens many months ago. I do have a tub of Adagio. Without side-by-side comparison I would say Dickens is more lemony and Adagio more cherry. Adagio does have a floral component that, for me, comes out in the lather and/or post shave.

Exactly! I bought Dickens twice and enjoyed it very much, but Adagio is my favorite of the two due to the menthol and subtle floral notes. They are very similar scents.

Thanks guys. Both sound nice to me. I'm trying to decide which I'd be happier with: Getting the Adagio before it becomes unavailable for the season, or waiting for Dickens. Not sure I need two cherry scented aftershaves. Would you say the Dickens is distinctly Christmasy?

I sold Dickens twice after the holiday because it reminded me of Christmas. There really isn't much difference between the two. I prefer Adagio due to the menthol. Either aftershave would work with either soap imo. I agree with Greg that Adagio is more cherry forward whereas Dickens is more lemon forward but the cherry is very much present. The floral notes are almost undetectable off the puck but I get a whiff of them now and then during lathering.

No. And furtermore, to say they are "cherry scented" might be a bit misleading. The lime in Adagio makes a great distinction among other things from Dickens. While they're both light and short-lived scents, I find Adagio to be the bolder of the 2.

I get a Christmas feeling for some reason with Dickens. It's like it reminds me of some cookie or pie or something from the holiday.
