Any idea what influences razor makers to use different designs to bring the top cap and base plate together?

Barbaros only started using pins for the top cap to slot into the holes in the baseplate after the TR-2. Even Lambda
does this.

Aesthetically Ive always preferred the long and narrow wedges that fit the indentations in the baseplate. (Blutt, Paradigm, Charcoal, WR1 etc)

Could a case be made to standardise this across all razor designs? Im trying to see why one design would be superior to the other and if so, how.

He changed it after designing the B&R adjustable. I'm not sure why he chose pins over ribs for following versions. Rocnel used same pin design on all of his razors.

For my designs, the slots had weak tolerances that time, pins made it easier for the machining, especially for the baseplate, according to the machinist. I moved that way. I think they dont have any superiority over the other.

Any idea if you will ever make another adjustable?

I designed another after B&R Adjustable, but couldn't get a prototype so far. First i want to embody the GEMInjector. After the earthquake, things didn't go well with my personal life/occupation, and i couldn't focus on anything.

"New year - new mail call. Not a 'wow' but not a 'boo' either. Definite evolution of the Tr-3. Pleasant with the same efficiency. Very nice to look at. So visually appealing. I still need to work on the angle, but hey, it can't always be a direct hit. I expected the blade with the geometry to be stiffer, but well, this way it brings more emotions.
Definitely not a must-have if you already have the usual suspects, but still, a pretty good razor that stands out."
