I don't know about "cool looking", but the scent is a dud. Samples languish at Maggard, Buy one & find out.

Lol a dud. They only sold out of about 1000-1500 sets when it was re-released. I happen to love the scent, but yeah, plenty of others didn't.

That’s the cool thing when artisans take risks and are creative. They don’t please everyone. The only way to “please everyone” is to play it safe and try not to offend anyone. That equates to boring and is a big reason a lot of us are even here in wet shaving. Change up the boring. If there’s one thing I’ve learned doing this it’s that not everyone shares my likes and dislikes regarding soap, scent, hardware or anything and that’s great otherwise we’d be back to boring.  Sure, I ask myself what’s wrong with people, why doesn’t everyone love bay rum?  Big Grin

Fougère Gothique is not for everyone, but I enjoyed my initial sample so much that not only did I get the full-size soap, but also the EdP. The eau de parfum is really where it’s at with this scent, and it goes to show once again that soap can be an unforgiving medium for accurately conveying intended scents.
