Aylsworth Drakkant DE Razor, DFS pass around

Correct! It's heading off to Draebeard tomorrow for the Western list, with Cape.Cod.Wet.Shaving until Friday on the East coast, and headed to Senate515 in Canada whenever Marko is done

I think I got it from the guy on the list before me. At least that was the name on the address label under the label with my name on it.

I did a two day growth shave with the Drakkant this morning.    

I used the same Feather blade as last shave because that’s my favourite blade. I used Grooming Dept Mallard Almond and Vanilla- man that’s a nice soap and great scent. I had a really nice BBS three pass shave again from the Drakkant. I don’t agree that the razor works any better for a one day beard vs a two day beard. At least not for me.  Finished with Thor’s Hammer Bay Rum. I like this razor. I’d compare it similar to the Rockwell 6s on plate #5. Definitely need to pay attention more than you do on Rockwell plate #3 but not so much as say a Wolfman WR1 or ATT OC (on any baseplate).  These comparisons are based purely on my own subjective impressions and, obviously, to razors that I own and have used frequently. YMMV. 

Next and last shave with the Drakkant will be a three day growth.

I had to look into the origins of “Drakkant”. Norse dragons so I guess it’s a natural that it’s made to look somewhat Viking warrior like. I had to look at the razor from various points of view before it locked in.

I didn't meet the requirements before but I'm good to go now.

I had my final shave with the Drakkant this morning on a three day beard growth with the same Feather blade and Barrister And Mann Leviathan (omnibus) - finished with Thayers and Captain's Choice Cat o'Nine Tails Bay Rum and a little Stirling Lime    I had another superb shave, BBS again.  It doesn't seem to matter how much growth I have because the Drakkant just mows it down on the first pass leaving the second and third passes more or less the same whether you had one, two or threes days growth.  I enjoyed trying out the Drakkant and I hope everyone else participating in this pass around enjoys it as much as I did.  Thank you andrewjs18  for organizing this and thank you Kaleb AylsworthRazors  for allowing the DFS community to try out the Drakkant - I wish you all the best with the project.
