'OCK-UN-TOSH-UN it’s how it’s pronounced!!

You're holding one of the only triple-distilled single

On description they travel the world to find the finest wood.

Auchentoshan 12 year old they crafted a mellow single malt matured in bourbon and sherry casks for added complexity. The result is a layered and delicate sinale malt with notes or dry leaves and dinger.

COLOUR
Pale gold
NOSE
Cereal, almonds and lime
TASTE
Sweet caramelised toffee
with hints of dried orange and grapefrult
FINISH
Dry and long with lingering nuttiness

Lastly if it’s not Scotish It’s Craaaappp Mate  Big Grin

I highly Reccomend it  Happy2

I haven't had Auchentoshan in some time but remember it as a pleasant Lowland scotch.

Ah!  Enjoy!  The Auchentoshan 12 is a solid lowlander.  The triple distillation makes it very approachable to folks accustomed to bourbons or Irish whiskey.  For what little it is worth (and I'm a mere babe in the woods as a wet shaver compared to my Scotch obsession), if you like Auchentoshan, I really might recommend Hazelburn (also tripled distilled) or, my favorite lowland, Bladnoch.  Hazelburn is produced at the Springbank distillery which many folks consider Scotland's best all around distillery -- if nothing else, they take care with every step of the way and they are the single start-to-finish distillery that is active (everything done in house - everything).  I believe the Hazelburn 10 teaches Auchentoshan a lesson in how to have more depth -- a bottle to open and slowly enjoy as it opens up with age.  Bladnoch, on the other hand, is a more complex and interesting dram.  It has the lightness and ease of a lowland but Bladnochs (get the 10 year old if you can find it, a fabulous find though the 11 is also fabulous) has many more flavors and nuances than, say, Auchentoshan. I also think that dollar for dollar, both of those provide better than value than Auchentoshan, which has a much larger marketing budget and retail/bar presence.  Smile
