Got a pure bliss knot and had a chance to shave with it this afternoon...
The knot is weird in how it holds the lather. If I read Andrews description right, it has thicker ends of the "hairs" at top? That might explain how the soap seems to recede into the knot easily and readily. Regardless, it makes and gives the lather up easily... So it's odd, but not bad at all.
It has very soft tips, very similar to the G5C. It's a little scritchy on the sides of the "hairs" (splayed), similar to the G5C, just a tiny bit more than the G5C. Thus I can see folks agreeing with him that it's a spiritual successor to the G5C.
All in all, a good first outing.
