I've been breaking in this 26mm Zenith boar for the better part of 3 months. It doesn't get a lathering everyday, but I don't miss too many. At this point, I can't even count how many break-in lathers I have done. I'm about ready to say completely broke in (or something close to that).

This picture, taken this afternoon, shows it right after a lathering with Zingari Man. That is a huge Bloom (roughly 5" across, by my measurements)!

I plan to use it this weekend, then offer it to a friend to try (I believe he has never used a Zenith... yet alone one broken in).

Well, today turned into a shopping day...

So, after another successful shave with the Dorco Prime blade I decided it was time to admit they were really good blades for me. So, I jumped in and ordered 1000 blades. At $70, that's $7 per 100 pack. Darn good deal, considering the Personnas I was looking at are over 3x as much.

Also ran into a good deal on a Gillette Slim by a very nice gentleman. I figured I'd give it another shot for the price. So it'll be enroute tomorrow. Attached are some pics.

Also considering grabbing another tub of Stirling Sheep soap. It's a great soap that I've been using a lot of. I'd guess I'm near 50% done with the tub? I am up in the air because I still have two full tubs of MacDuffs to use. Decisions decisions. Lol.

Have a great evening everyone![Image: e4559db4ba91703d671c1a8b5da668f7.jpg][Image: 52e3668ab2b19b98a36cfd771a814370.jpg]

1000 blades!! You, your children, and your children's children will never need another blade! (seriously, great buy!)

And that Slim looks marvelous!

Thanks Eric!

Nah, I use a blade twice and bin it. So, as I shave every other day, I will finish a blade in 4 days. So I'll get 2000 shaves from these, or just shy of 11 years (4000 days). That's just $6.36 a year. Blows away any cart Gillette has yet to produce. (remember when we started this to "save money", haha)

Yeah, I was impressed with the look of the Slim. I'm excited to see it in person and curious to see how it shaves (it's been a while).

The slim looks real clean Paul.  Congrats!  And 2000 shaves over an 11 year period is impressive change control.  Happy

Well, my order for 1000 blades was a bust. Amazon sent me 100 (for $70). Lol. Nope!

Something is obviously mixed up in their stock system. So, back to the drawing board. Sigh.
