I was browsing Instagram and came across this. Another different, yet interesting design. Not much of a looker though is it?

Did some more searching and there is a video on how to load a blade and some more info on Bull Goose Shaving. Apparently it will be available to purchase there for $210.

It will be interesting to hear the reviews when they start coming in. The price will probably keep me away. I have a few superb vintage SE razors that cost a fraction of the Roncel so I'm in no rush to spend that kind of money. Also, it reminds me too much of a GEM Open Comb Micromatic, one of my all-time shaving nemeses. Tongue

I think I'm with you on all of those points Freddy. I really would like a modern GEM razor though. I'll have to see which one it comes down to price wise. It looks like the PAA one will be affordable, but I was able to check it out in person and it felt really light and dare I say, cheap. It was just a prototype, but still.

I think it looks fine. If I win the lottery I might buy one. Still, I have to wonder why one wouldn't just get a real Gem. Mine (bullet tip) is in almost new condition and I paid like $9.99 for it. Incidentally, I can shave closer with that razor than I can with my straights. It takes me past BBS all the way to PMS (Polished Marble Smooth). A really amazing razor.

It looks fine from the front view, but if you look at some of the other photos, it looks kinda weird from the back.

I think it looks decent but the price puts me off, just got the Razorock DLC SS Hawk for $60 and its also machined razor....

It looks like a razorock hawk...it just uses gem blades instead of ac....and it's a lot more expensive

I think lots of folks are concerned about disease with used razors. Or maybe they just think it's gross.

It's way out of what I would ever pay for a SE razor. My vintage razors work fine for far less $ spent.
