Amazon Review

Of course, we're aware that not everyone will love everything we do. But, a question for those of you familiar with our products, what is you first impression of this review? Larger question for the community at large, does a review like this make you want to dismiss the product or explore more reviews?

Dom. This makes me want to look at other reviews. And then wonder how the hell one can't get a lather - it lathers itself. ..... Hmmm.

But I must admit that there are quite a few guys that don't know how to lather - even guys who claim to be long time wet Shavers. Maybe reach to him with advice? Weird

Ditto. That is very odd. He claims to have decades of experience. Yet he can't lather your soap? The review isn't venemous, though, so I'd balk at saying he's just angry for some other reason and lying. Still, how could your soap not lather?! I've seen people claim such from many soaps... Just not yours (fwiw, I don't have most of the issues other have... Shannon's, Mystic Waters, etc).

Are we sure he didn't post the review under the wrong soap? Maybe he meant to post it under his purchase of Mitchell Wool Fat? That's some stubborn soap, there!

Dom, it could very well be an honest review.  However, as others have stated, I tend to look at the total number of reviews and take a sampling of reviews from 1-5 stars to get an overall feel for a product.  There were very few other 2 star reviews with most not caring for the scent, which is completely subjective.  Your soap has an 89% positive (4-5 star) rating based on all reviews so I wouldn't worry too much, though I understand your disappointment.  The fact that you gave the reviewer a full refund speaks volumes about your company and I should think that you will be doing just fine. 

One final thought.  If you had a 100% total of 5-star reviews instead of the variety that you do have, I would tend to be way more suspicious of the product and less likely to purchase it because I would have my doubts thinking the reviews had been "bought."

dominicr Can I ask how hard your soap puck is? Is it on the firm side? Makes me wonder if they didn't soften the puck or just didn't load enough product.
