Couldn't find an appropriate category to post this...Mods may park it accordingly please .

Was googling for some ABC Almond Aftershave milk and bumped into this online retail store Westcoastshavings.shop. This one looked quite similar to WCS website and the offer was too good to refuse. I even added it to the cart before googling the original WCS website and then shot down the plan to pay .

It does look like a fake site to me but just want to be sure if it is. Has anyone bought from them or atleast confirm if this is a genuine website .If it is not how to report this website so that unsuspecting folks are not taken for a ride .

Thanks in advance .[Image: 2b434871cfb11736008a6234abfe57e6.jpg][Image: 8dbf4c404f5e35c31d0d59ba0fb06fe1.jpg]

Looking on the official WCS site and the brand doesn't show as an option kinda tells me they aren't legit but I'm interested in what others say.

To good a price to be real is my thoughts

The slight mis-spelling is a common tactic to mislead the unsuspecting shopper in a hurry.

Reminds me of a tv advertisement when I was a kid for discount mattresses. "Dial 1-800-M-A-T-T-R-E-S. Leave off the last "S" for "Savings.""

Also a takedown request would have to be done by the owner of westcoastshaving.com and they have to prove the intent to the registrar. Whether that is worth the time and effort is up to the owner of the domain name, with the main risk being reputation tarnishment.

Also to be clear the location of the business is not definetly Malaysia, they are using a registrar identity protection service to mask their details, a common tactic for malicous intent.

The big problem with such fake sites, assuming that it is fake, is that they might be able to obtain your credit card data, including CCA pin, and use that to steal your identity, or at least make unauthorized purchases. Hopefully, the credit card company or other legitimate company would flag such a purchase if some expensive piece of electronics was purchased for shipment to an address other than your own.

You were very astute, not everyone would be.
