We'll try this first if the vote passes (looks like it will).

The wolfman automatic lock has worked out very well so far.

Of course it has ... no one can comment ... what couldn't work out ?

On this I voted 'not sure', obviously 'I'll go with the majority.'

I'm surprised so many voted for the thread lock. Of course it is an option, so if the seller chooses to allow comments they can.

I don't like trolls questioning seller's integrity, honesty, judgement, but I do like to be able to comment if I have something good to say, or a question to ask, without filling up someone's inbox.

Anyway, this is probably going to work out just fine.

Clearly, sellers want to have the option.

whatever you feels works is fine. i voted and it wasnt to say whatever others think. i said yes to allowing them to lock it because when you are trying to sell something you dont need someone going..Thats the worst product ever made and going.. waaaahhh i dont have the money you should lower the price so i can get it. I mean if I have something i want to sell someone can always PM me and ask if i can work on the price with them

the automatic filtering is what I was referring to more than anything. it's working very well.

I think people are just sick and tired of the bickering on their bst threads if they ask for $1 over what someone else is selling their item for. ironically enough though, we almost never hear from the trolls when someone is undercharging for their item...

Living on the edge
so is this lock option now available for all BST threads even apart from wolfman?
I didn't see any controls for it.

it hasn't been set up yet, no. there's some technical things we have to work through to make sure it'll function correctly.

for now, if you want to lock your own thread, just type wolfman in the OP..

That, typing 'wolfman' into the title, or OP, seems a lot simpler, and less work for the admins than configuring a lock. Great idea !

It may be a short-term fix, but it'll be confusing to those searching out true Wolfman BST threads.
