Really wonder whether he will have a video for Otium. I like Otium even more than Kairos. It is the best soap I have ever tried.

I totally agree with you on that! Out of all the GD soaps that I have, Otium is the best.

It was not a restock. I suspect they hold few jars back while orders are in transit in case they need to replace some. Then they release them once orders are delivered.

I've used Aion (Nai v1) for a week (4 shaves, each and other day), while keeping my usual morning and night face care regimen. The effects of the Nai base could be seen the morning after (i.e., on a no-shave day): my skin was always soft and supple!

The initial version of Nai which was released in the Aion scent was  superb. Then Mohammad made some changes to the formula to make it fully vegan. He also added some of the tricks he learned in the development of Kairos. As a result, the second release of Nai whcih was in the Otium scent was even better than the initial release in my opinion. Kairos and the new Nai base are two of the best soaps I have used. Ruds Shaves rated Kairos at 102. The initial Nai base was rated at 100, but I think the new Nai base deserves an even higher rating.

Hopefully, the updated Mallard release will be available soon. From the testing I have done with developmental formulas, it will certainly be an elite soap. It will provide an alternative. Some may prefer Nai; some may prefer Kairos; some may prefer Mallard. It is nice to have choices, but with choosing your favorite might be difficult.   There will be no bad choice.

I used Mallard Fougere last night. I had such a good shave with it. I do like the Kairos base, but there is just something about the prior Mallard I really like, and I can't even say what it is--some days I think it is my favorite (and oddly the one I use most sparingly to "save it"). The first pass with the Mallard Fougere was just super comfortable, and the ATG/Touchup was really close.

I have looked on the GD website to see a brief description of the different formulas, but it doesn't say a lot about what type of shaver would prefer the different bases. I guess the proof is in the pudding. . . . . . so ultimately it comes down to which one works best I guess.

If GroomingDept is adding some tricks learned in the development of Kairos, I am really excited to see what comes next for Mallard. Mrs Presley likes the Mallard Fougere scent well enough, but really likes what she calls cologne type scents (Ingress or Boomer for example with GD). Even though she says this, her favorites are Sandalwood Nobile and Incense and Oud scents (and these are overall favorites not just GD favorites for her). I am really hoping there is a scent in Mallard eventually that is in their direction--not sure I know what "gourmand" means, and I don't trust myself to pick out the right thing by the scent profile.

I have so many good soaps right now, that I can wait on one that is a good fit regarding scent, but I am definitely looking forward to the updated Mallard also.
