I have found that my test sample of Kairos is soft and loads easily. (I have been told that the final product upon release will be firmer).  I experienced great lathering by just painting it on and adding water by painting it in. I think it lathers differently from other soaps on the market. I never saw frothy air bubbles in my lathers; it just builds into a slick, dense and moisturizing cream. It is gonna surprise the market with its giant leap forward in shave quality.

The only ones who will receive Kairos 4.7 are the testers. the final version of Kairos that will be released to the public should be firm enough to load load from the tub.

If you are face lathering and are using a very soft soap or cream, I suggest you scoop out enough soap from the tub using your finger or small spoon. Press the soap into the end of your brush of choice. I have used plastic sample spoons from the ice scream store. I am currently using a demitasse coffee spoon.

+1  Same here, except I haven't seen the scent description.  But I do think the art work is beautiful (and delightfully à propos), and I am looking forward to to Amare.

Could you restate or reference the scent description please?
Never mind TheHunter.   Thanks to conservator,  I went to the GDept site and saw this:

Scent Notes; Fruits, Coconut, Spices, Florals, Vetiver, Musk Ambrette, Sandalwood, Oakmoss, Woodsy notes, and vanilla.

I am stoked.

I like the sound of that list of notes. Hopefully, it'll be available soon, aaaaand the Vetiver isn't too noticeable.
You see, this is the downside of 'behind-the-scenes' info on products that are in the pre-release stages. The waiting...... lol
Before getting into the thick of things with all things wetshaving, it was a simple case of browsing for whatever is in stock, click, add to cart, wait for a package'. haha.

Speaking of scents, I'm quite surprised that there's such a demand for Angel.

I can't speak for Kairos, but I've used the very soft 'Citric' (Janus Tallow base) soap a number of times.
I face lather by scooping from the tub and smudging it into a bowl or the lid of an empty tub (the latter option is great as there's nothing obstructing the actual handle while loading) but trying to get the soap spread out into another container is a bit messy with the Janus base. Smile
Eventually I just decided to scoop a bit with a small plastic spoon, slide it off with my fingers and then rub it onto my face. Grab the brush and begin the agitation.

Just used Kairos again , this time I face lathered , something I seldom do. Took a almond size dab and rubbed it on my face , wet my brush and went to town. Wow this stuff makes a ton of rich , thick , slick lather. I did a 3 pass and washed my face with the leftover. The post shave is great , my skin feels soft and clean. I'm definitely in on this one when it drops.

I've been using the Kairos 3.3 tester Mo sent me and I thought it was really good. I didn't realize we were up to v4.* now.

I have 5 tubs of Citric (my favorite) and none of my soaps are soft. I would suggest that you stop "blooming" the soap (if you are) and leave the lid off the soap to air-dry between shaves.
You might be confusing this with the Lusso base soaps, which are soft by nature.

Nope. No confusion and I don't bloom my soaps. My citric had has firmed up significantly though, in the separate container which had no lid. Now I know. Smile
I'll remove the lid from the actual tub now, to allow the  entire puck to firm up.

I am assuming that you have the sample in the tin.  This is what In did.  Take something to scrape some out of the tin drop it in a bowl and with a damp not wet brush take the tip and sort of stab it.  Once the sample is in the brush start to face lather.  It may require a little more water.  It worked fine with me.
