Gearing up for an Antica Barbieria Colla Shave in the morning. It is on my bucket list to visit this legendary Italian Barbershop! Happy Shaves!

Curious to hear your impressions. I was underwhelmed. I think I’m totally spoiled by the new wave of artisan soaps. Just a few years ago I would have thought ABC was great. YMMV...

I already had the ABC soap and like it. The Almond Oil and Aloe cream are new along with the balm. Excited to try it with these two. The preshave cream is the same they use in the old world barbershop. ABC is good. I love the old world Italian nostalgia it brings as well and its history. I am a big fan of Italian Barbershops and historic Italian wet shaving. Is it as good as some of the newer artisans I would say no but that isn’t my main concern. It is not only a brand it is an experience.

I also have the ABC shampoo and conditioner along with their CAPSICUM & MENTHOL scalp treatment lotion which is fantastic!

Having incredibly bad skin and tried virtually every post shave balm there is, find the ABC to be hands down the best. Unfortunately it also amongst the most expensive.

Average soap IMO and the aftershave lotion (apricot hull) was oily.
With that kind of budget I'd go ADP any day.

Fair enough but for my damaged and highly sensitive skin, no balm has ever outperformed it and tried about every one made. Wish it were less expensive

I, too, have found the ABC apricot balm and the almond oil aftershave milk to be about the best balms I've used. There are others that are close for much less money. Nevertheless, I like having the ABC around as a splurge. I've used my bottle of the aftershave milk through 2 winters and I've still got about 25%. The English Shaving Co. is the cheapest source I've found and it's sometimes on sale there.

Even better than the Spanish site Gifts & Care? How much is shipping?

When I've looked, they've been the same or cheaper than G&C. Plus they used to have a flat rate shipping fee of either £4 or 5. I'm not seeing that on their site right now, so perhaps that's gone away for COVID (or other) reasons.

IIRC the milk is less heavy and cloying than the lotion. The latter would be good for cold weather.

Another grouse I had about the ABC soap was the relatively small size of the soap in relation to the price.
But cant deny...was a good shave.
