The weather at camp was lovely this weekend. We spent plenty of time outdoors to enjoy it.
Fall has already started up there the the color is sporadic.
We took a long walk with the dogs. Our route meandered down this dirt road.
A small river/stream ran besides that dirt road. We stopped to enjoy the small waterfalls.
The dogs enjoyed it as well.
This is Interstate 91 crossing that river valley.
Climbing up out of the valley we passed a quintessential Vermont dairy farm.
Three of the residents hoofed it over to say hello.
Later on we went out in the canoe. The pond was very still.
We saw the loon pair. Old friends by now - they are completely unfazed by our presence.
This is a plain ol' garter snake taking a swim. We do not have water moccasins this far north. His light markings also rule out the common watersnake.
This is Toby supervising me.
And lastly Queen Foxy surveys her domain.
It was an enjoyable weekend. Though a 5 mile walk on each day wore me out. Our fitbit style wristbands say our elevation gain was 110 floors each day - as much as the Empire State Building. Wow.
all of these photographs were taken by the lovely and talented ML, my wife.
