World Class shaver regardless of handle length or width. Is it the best razor ever made? I don’t know as I’ll leave that up to debate for the dozens of shavers that own one or multiples. But, I will say that if someone told me it’s the best razor they’ve ever used/experienced, I wouldn’t argue much with them. To some it’s heavy, chunky or bulky and too top heavy. For me though there is no denying that from a pure performance standpoint, there are very, very few razors in its class to the point where there are only a handful of competitors that I can count on one hand that could potentially match it on sheer performance and I’d have two to perhaps three fingers left over once I’m done counting.
Nevertheless, it’s a pure joy to use. For me at least….

Hello to all Sailor lovers,
wow...200+ pages with lots of information and pictures. I tried my best to find the answer to my questions... but I failed.
So I hope you can help me.
I have been offered a 2022 Sailor Master Collection razor. But I think it is actually a 2021.
Please help me understand the engravings and the differences between the razors:
It has a 2022 engraved on the bottom of the base plate. But it has a 2021 on one side of the head and “A” on the other.
I understand that there is a 2022 L version? But it has an L.
But what's with the A?
Why 2021 and 2022 on the same razor?
Master Collection 22 is engraved on the bottom of the handle. That's the serial number, isn't it?
Are there any technical changes between 2022L and 2022A?
Which one would you prefer? And why?
There are different boxes all over the place, with and without a stand. Wooden, cardboard. So this one comes in a blue box and not in a wooden box and without a stand. I have seen later serial numbers with wooden boxes without the 2022 marking on the bottom plate, instead with 2021 and with stand.
Please help
This is really confusing and it is difficult to find information on the Rocnel website. An email inquiry started has been left unanswered by Rocnel..

Spectre - Probably the easiest way is to find out if its a 2 or 3 piece.
2021 was a 2-Piece, 2022 they re-introduced the 3-Piece.
Murat wasn't forthcoming with the changes from year to year.
I list a some of them that I picked up HERE

Clouds thank you very much for you answer. And the interesting blog entry.
So it looks like it’s a 2021 version but with both engravings. 2021 on the side and 2022 on the baseplate does that mean its a 2021 made in 2022? That would probably also means, that the serials are not in serial. There is a 2021 MC in BST with only 2021 engravings but higher serial number 37.
Confusing confusing

So I have received today my used Rocnel Sailor Master Collection. It is a 2021 Version as it is a two piece razor. But it has the 2022 engraving. So I think it has been produced in 2022.
One thing that is not amusing is that the piece with the serial number keeps falling out of the handle. I don’t think that it’s supposed to be like this.
Has anyone else experienced the same thing. See picture:

whoever sold you this razor, kept this information from you...the loose plug that keeps falling out.
its easy to remedy...get yourself some Loctite 480 ....it looks dark brown.
wash and dry both areas thoroughly ...take a little smidge on a toothpick and smear on the inner walls of the chamber and base of the chamber
inside the handle.
Less is more...then attach the plug and leave overnight to dry...good as new
