Is anyone able to comment on how the ubersoft knot compares to the type of knot used in the Stirling Kong?

I'm struggling with the decision on which type of knot I'm going to get, and I'm leaning towards the synthetic because I've come to prefer the Kong over the one silvertip badger brush that I have. However, I did have an EJ STF brush that I didn't like at all, so if the "ubersoft" is closer to the Kong than the silvertip fibre, then that might be what I go with. And, I don't know how the "envy white" compares to silvertip badger. I'd hate to get the envy white and then find that I still prefer the Kong. I'm not one to want to rotate brushes, I'm looking to keep it down to 2 max.

Can any of the brush aficionados shed some light?

Thanks!

Justin

This LE brush is getting me really excited now!  Seeing the handle with the dark bronze color is outstanding!  This brush is going to very unique in my modest collection.  I don't have anything even remotely close to this design.  The shape looks to be perfect too!

Am I excited?  Maybe a little. Wink

I'm kind of in the same boat JustinHEMI. I do like to rotate brushes though and the only badger brush I have is the Semogue SOC. I know that brush is on the low end of the badger spectrum so the envy white knot is intriguing. People who have it seem to like it a lot. On the other hand, I have 2 of the Plissoft brushes (24 and 26mm) and they are awesome. I can't see ever needing another synthetic. #firstworldproblems

I have the 26mm Stirling Kong and a 24mm Ubersoft.. The Kong is quite large and not as firm as the Ubersoft. Both very soft. The Kong splays easier but is not floppy. The Ubersoft is fairly firm for a synthetic but will splay under some pressure. I am not really a synthetic fan but these are the two best synthetics I have tried. I would probably have a slight preference for the Ubersoft.

Justin, while I have never used the Kong before, I have used the Plisson's, and have the Muhle 33 H 13 STF, RR 24mm Plissoft and a Wold Whiskers with an Ubersoft II knot.

Mind you the below is my experience

The Plisson was too floppy, The Muhle STF has great backbone but lacks on the density. The Razorock and the Ubersoft II would be in the midddle for me. Not floppy like the Plisson but more density than the Muhle. Out of all my brushes, I have been picking the Ubersoft II knot for 4 out of the 5 times I shave.

I hope this helps a little

Please add me to the list for a brush! I'm definitely liking how this looks! I'm back and forth on the knot. Will the ubersoft knot option be the ubersoft II?

envyshave hi Nathan, just wondering if you will be offering a fan shape option for the Envy White knots? I have several of your Envy Whites in bulb and would love to try one in the fan shape. The brush is looking fantastic!
