Speick&Eufros

After yesterday's irritating shave I decided it was a good idea to go easy on my skin, so the "greens" Gillette were a sensible choice, for they provide good close shaves but are mild on my skin. I should have gone with two passes but everything was going so well that I eventually made a third one, and that made my lotion sting a bit, and some redness occurred. Not as much as yesterday, but the marvelous Eufros balm took care of it pretty quickly. As it happens, we usually narrow our preferences down to a few products it certain fields of life. When it comes to shaving balms, nothing I've tried is close to this Eufros. Others are good, this is a couple of steps above.

Razor: Gillette Executive Gold Adjustable Fat Boy (F 1) 1960
Blade: Personna 74 Tungsten Plus (16)
Brush: El Druida Te Vigilo w/Manchurian
Soap: Jeeves Soap Turkish Bath
Aftershave: Fine Platinum

I used the Gillette Black Beauty Adjustable (R-2) 1971 for a week and it is a good razor. I find it light and the handle is a little to long for me. The Fat Boy, on the other hand is a much better fit for me personally. Heavier with a stocky handle just works for me.
I hope everyone has and is still have a good Easter weekend.
